OUTPUT & TRANSFER CHECKLIST
Once you're ready to send your project to us for printing, be sure
to check the following:
  • COLLECT all items used in your files [layout files, graphic elements & fonts].
  • LINKED graphics must have the same name as when originally placed. Be sure they are updated in the layout file before final files are sent.
  • FONTS need to be complete. All printer and screen fonts used should be gathered into a fonts folder on your transfer disk.
  • LASERS are very useful as a hard copy, as a mock-up for folding and to show how a job backs up.
  • DIRECTORIES of your disk[s] should be included.

FLIGHT CHECK
A report will be generated before your job is placed into production. Items such as low res images, missing fonts and in correctly saved art files will be flagged. If any questions arise, your Customer Service Representative will contact you to resolve them.

PROOFING PROCEDURES
Prior to running your job on press, we will provide you with a proof for your final approval.
  • B&W Laser Proof: Ideal for an initial first proof when designing/redesigning or typesetting projects before color proofs are generated. [Cannot be used for final proofing.]
  • Imposition Proof: A low resolution color proof that has been trimmed and folded to become a working mock-up of your final piece.
  • Epson Contract Proof: A high resolution color proof used for evaluating the colors in your project. [Please note, an accurate representation of extremely light or pastel colors is limited.]

PROOFREADING
Abbott Printing is proud to offer a 3-level quality control process. However, the final review and approval of a project remains the client's responsibility. Thank you for reviewing your files thoroughly.
